    Lewis C Cassidy Academics Plus just completed a revamp towards new possibilities after affording to construct a new state-of-the-art facility.

  • WORC IN THE NEWS: Good Shepard Groundbreaking

    Good Shepard was a church until an unfortunate fire in 2016. Recently its space has been approved of building and a new space was planned out for senior housing, using the same name as the previous church. WORC and others have collaborated to get this project moving towards groundbreaking in late 2024.

  • UPOMING EVENT: Philly Spring Cleanup

    Saturday, April 5, 2025 | 9 AM - 2PM

    Every year, City government, residents, and organizations partner to kick off the spring season by cleaning and beautifying Philadelphia’s neighborhoods through Philly Spring Cleanup which is the city’s largest scale, single-day clean-up event.

  • WORC IN THE NEWS: Back to School Giving

    WORC’s Gerry Murphy participated at a Back to School event that donated materials, tools, and equipment to help students thrive in the upcoming school year. Based around donations for younger students.

  • WORC IN THE NEWS: 2024 Grantee Checks Given to Small Businesses

    A series of grantee checks were given out to multiple businesses and associations at the end of 2024 within WORC’s area to help pursue more sustained successful practices.

    SJU announced the reassurance of their investment to the Overbrook and Wynnefield community by providing direct micro-grants to small businesses and grassroots organizations on the ground doing the work to moving our neighborhoods forward.
